Sally the Snail Mask
This is shy Sally. She's a hide behind mom's shell kind of gal. A don't rock the boat kind of snail. She is a bit too slow to keep up with her fast walking friends so she lags behind. She can often be found hiding in her shell away from scary things like dragonflies and fast moving objects. You won't find Sally on the ball field, she is the one sitting very still in the library quietly reading War and Peace. She started it 7 years ago and is finally on chapter 2!
Sally loves quiet walks thru her garden. She enjoys watching from afar. Her friends would love to see her more but her shell keeps getting in the way. As in she needs to get out of it more. You can see from her face that he really wants to just pop on out! Someday she knows that she will have to come out and show us her lovely face but for now she is pretty content with her comfortable place in this flower garden.
This felt mask is adjustable with a elastic at the back so it will grow with your shy snail. The felt is soft on the skin. The tall eyes are bendable! Move them this way and that...look in two directions at once! This mask will provide hours of fun and entertainment while encouraging you little one to use his/her imagination at the same time.
Easy costume idea...Purchase a disposable roasting pan and have your child paint it tan and brown. Seriously! Check out Pinterest! Attach straps at the top and bottom like a backpack. For an underlayer you can wear a green or brown t-shirt or hoodie. Instant shell!

Sizing details
My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
Care instructions
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Custom and personalized orders
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
How does the tail attach?
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
Will the crowns fit my childs head?
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!
