This purple felt is very soft, it does not have a rigid look or feel. It retains its shape when worn as the cone is worn tightly to the head which gives the hat shape. If you want a more rigid look and feel, the Charcoal is best followed by the Black felt.

The Ophelia hat offer a narrow and slightly sloped brim made of two stitched layers of felt: to keep the moonlight out of your eyes as you work. The cone too is lined in another layer of felt to help keep it flexible and be a comfortable soft fit. There is a lovely ribbon encircling the cone and a small bat bow pin that is removable so you can wear it with or without. Change it up a bit depending on your mood. The witch in our photos wore hers in a few different ways to show you how it's done! Simply bewitching!

This listing is for one hat. One size fits most. The crown is made for a 23" noggin which I find accommodates most of my clients. If you need a smaller (22") or larger (24") crown please shoot me a message. In try to have a few on hand. If I do not I can certainly try to add one into the mix as I stitch.
My witch hats do not have wire and are not stiff in that way. They fly with the wind and flop down naturally. In order to keep offering FREE shipping I have to package these hats in a specific way. Occasionally one arrives wrinkled and we are sorry for that, however if you get out your steamer and go to town it will look pretty wicked when you are done!

Sizing details
My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
Care instructions
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Custom and personalized orders
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
How does the tail attach?
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
Will the crowns fit my childs head?
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!

This hat is really high quality and just beautiful! I have purchased several hats from HuntingFaeries and I love every one of them. The style of this one is so fun and unique! I feel like I could wear it anytime. The description is accurate, the fabric is soft and a beautiful shade of purple.
