This oversized witch hat is made of black felt, (eco friendly) it offers a classic dark look with an extra tall cone perfect for either a dressed up or down witch look. Its wide brim has layers of magic stitched together for a floppy, yet ridgid look and feel. Choose from a silver dot tulle or a wide satin ribbon to adorn the crown. It would be great for a wizard or mage cosplay, ren faire costume, or everyday wear! The possibilities are only limited by your imagination!

The Mystic hat offers an extra large floppy brim made of three stitched layers of felt: to keep out the bugs as you circle above. The cone is also lined in another layer of felt to help keep it erect and for a comfortable soft fit. The cone is TALL and has a wire in back to keep it upright! It tapers to the tip more than most hats to ensure that it will stay tall. Its exaggerated and awesome! There is an option of a black satin ribbon or silver dot tulle for the crown. Please see studio photos to decide on your option. Simply bewitching! One size fits most.

This listing is for one hat. One size fits most. The crown is made for a 23" noggin which I find accommodates most of my clients.

This witch hat has a thin wire at the seam of the cone to keep it upright. The brim does not have wire, it flies with the wind and flops down naturally. In order to keep offering FREE shipping I have to package these hats in a specific way. Occasionally one arrives wrinkled and we are sorry for that, however a quick steam will fix the problem within a few minutes.

**The video is of my Tish Witch Hat, BUT is the same size as the Mystic Witch Hat in this listing. There are different ribbon options and the mystic cone is fully erect, although could be shaped with the intro of wire. Differences are the ribbon/decoration option, the cone is wired with no sewn curl. Brim size, and fit are identical!***

Sizing details

My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.

Care instructions

I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Because I am a one woman working machine I only consider smaller wholesale orders here. Contact me for more information.

Custom and personalized orders

I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.

How does the tail attach?

Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.

Will the crowns fit my childs head?

All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!
