Bernie the Donkey Costume
Donkeys are often thought of as stubborn animals. Bernie is here to inform you that that is in fact true. However its been slightly misconstrued. First off Bernie likes to think of himself as "strong willed." Donkeys will not do something that they feel will put them or the herd in danger. Its something called self preservation. Super smart fellows! You may know a few donkeys who stand up for what's right and will look out for the rest of the herd. Now that's a strong leader! Bernie fits that bill well.
Is your little one ready to lead the pack? Does he try to work the crowds by telling it like it is? Is he a proven leader who tries to get things done? Is he the one who rally's the troops in order to spread his word? He is? Then this donkey costume is for him! He fits the requirements if he is at least 35 and born in the United States. Bernie is a naturally curious animal with an amazing memory. Some of these fellows have been know to remember things from 25 years in their past. Note to self, don't make any silly decisions in life or get that donkey angry! He won't forget. Bernie has also made his way as a great independent thinker and will reason before making any decisions. These donkeys are just so intelligent! There goes that self preservation thing at its finest. Brilliant!

Sizing details
My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
Care instructions
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Custom and personalized orders
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
How does the tail attach?
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
Will the crowns fit my childs head?
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!
