Meet the Possums! Rose and Ernie like to take long strolls by the road side. They have a certain swagger knowing that they are the only marsupials to live in North America. Rose has a pouch to carry her babes in! That could be more of a full pouch swagger but no judgments! Every once in a while when a car speeds by they fall over in a trance due to fright. You may know this as playing possum! Don't worry they eventually come out of it.
Every now and then Rose bares her teeth in a threatening manner but don't be fooled. She is pretty docile and is only hiding her fear. Ernie looks on wondering if he's forgotten to take the trash out. Then he thinks silly me! We're scavengers I probably threw something out that she needs! Good thinking buddy!
Did you now that opossums and possums are different animals. Opossums live in North America, while possums live in Australia and other countries. Who knew? I certainly didn't!
This mask and tail is made of soft recycled felt. It has an elastic at the back to grow with your child. The tail has a loop that will allow a belt thru it and your belt loop so it will stay centered . This set will provide hours of fun and entertainment while encouraging you little one to use his imagination at the same time.

Sizing details
My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
Care instructions
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Custom and personalized orders
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
How does the tail attach?
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
Will the crowns fit my childs head?
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!
