Henry and Hilda Hippopotomus have been besties since birth. They do everything together. Play hide and seek. Give each other piggy back rides. I'd say go check out their facebook page to see the selfies posted there but they lost their iphones somewhere in the muck.
The Greeks called them water horses and its easy to see why. They bounce thru the water at high speeds. Both fierce and independent. They are very territorial and will defend their water space until the end. On land however they don't care as much as long as you let them eat away at the vegetation.
Henry once got on Hilda's nerves. A pretty big battle ensued. They didn't talk or play for days. Hilda even dunked Henry's head in the river for good measure. They eventually got over it and by then had even forgotten what they were fighting about.
This felt mask is adjustable with an elastic allowing it to expand and grow with your hippo. The felt is soft on the skin.

Sizing details
My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
Care instructions
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Custom and personalized orders
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
How does the tail attach?
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
Will the crowns fit my childs head?
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!
