Calling all you animal lovers! Come roam the Serengeti with this kid friendly lioness costume. This lioness mask and tail are made from a soft eco-fi felt. This set is perfect for use in plays, school functions and dress up. It is sized to fit children up to a small adult, with an elastic at the back of the mask to keep it in place and to grow with your child. The tail is made to attach at the center back of a pair of pants with a tab. A belt or sash will hold it steady. Be ready for some serious play time with this costume!
This is Lena, strong, brave and fierce. She does most of the hunting for her pride (the group she hangs with in the grasslands). While the guys prowl and protect the rest this little warrior goes out on her own and hunts for them. I can just imagine her arrival back to the den..."Come and get it! Fresh Zebra!" She expends so much of her energy chasing down her next meal that she needs to eat over 10lbs of meat a day! EEK! So I guess vegetarianism is out of the question in the grasslands. If you are running at speeds up to 80mph you need your energy. Lena is someone not to be messed with! I wouldn't want to come across her on the dark Savannah! Did I mention that Lena is cousins to Nala and Sarabi? Its her claim to fame really.
This felt mask is adjustable with an elastic allowing It to expand and grow with your lioness. The felt is soft on the skin. Your brave lioness will hunt with confidence in this mask and tail! Tail attaches with a back tab that a belt or sash can be threaded throught at the center of a pair of pants.

Sizing details
My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
Care instructions
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Custom and personalized orders
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
How does the tail attach?
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
Will the crowns fit my childs head?
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!
