St Lucia 3 Star Cone Hat for the boys!
Look what those clever fairies have left on my doorstep today! Something for those who celebrate St. Lucia's Day. The fairies have collected up 3 stars from the Heavens, representing the 3 wise men and sewn them to the traditional white cone hat. Painstakingly handcrafted for those boys or should we say young men celebrating St. Lucia's Day. The stars are ascending in size from the point to the bottom. Each is just as lovely as the next and infused with love and a little bit of faerie magic!
This hat is a great addition to you St. Lucia celebration. Let St. Lucia's holiday spirit of giving take over and help to spread the joy and light of the season. Adorn his head with this soft felt cone hat. The faerie folk took extra time making it and even added some elastic to it so it stays put on under your chin. Tuck it under if not needed! Double layered for comfort and rigidity.

**So looking back thru my feedback on this item many people said that the elastic strap was too big. SO...if you can measure under the wearers chin from ear to ear (see where the hat sits on the model photos to see the best spot to measure from!) and I can make it the best fit possible for your child!
**Please send this measurement in the notes section at checkout so I know how long to make the strap. If no measurement is added I will send along my standard elastic size.

Sizing details
My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
Care instructions
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Custom and personalized orders
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
How does the tail attach?
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
Will the crowns fit my childs head?
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!

The elastic strap was way too big for my kids (ages 5 and 7) - literally dangled 3 inches below their chins! - but otherwise the quality was great and my kids were so happy with it. My son was so happy to have his own star boy hat after reading books about St Lucia’s Day with star boys in them for years.
