Lunde the Puffin Mask
The puffin is often thought of as the world's cutest bird. Just what the heck is a puffin? Its roundish, adorable, but is it a duck? For goodness sake it has little webbed feet! A baby is called a puffling. OMG! How stinking cute is that? Lets let Lunde explain so we can better understand the life of a puffin.
"Hey all! Lunde here. Let me explain my cuteness. I'm seriously round and it works for me so I go with it. I'm considered roly poly and I'm good with that. It's what makes me me! Some people refer to me as the clown of the ocean. I can be funny at times so I'm cool with that as well. I do have white feathers and a bold orange beak so I can see that.
I live in Iceland. This I love, but I wish I could explore the world some more. Travel seems like it would suit me, I could show off my cuteness! However I'm not the best flyer and it takes a lot of energy so I stay local. I've got cable so I'm able to see what's out there. Besides I'd probably miss Iceland, you always return home so why should I leave it?
My boldly colored beak changes color from season to season and is brightest when it's time to find a partner. We puffins fall in love once and stay that way! It's love at first mating. We cross our fingers for one baby every year. These babies or pufflings as we like to call them are such a draw from our fun loving life. Forget going out with friends for random swimming parties, forget late nights playing games and disco dancing. They need constant attention. Who knew babies were so demanding? They eat non stop...you'd think they were a teenager!
Our penthouse is actually under foot so beware. We like to be different and burrow into the ground. Our partners return to this penthouse every year! We are also expert swimmers. Our little pufflings learn fast! No wing bubbles for us.
All in all we live a well rounded (no pun intended) birds life. I wouldn't give it up for anything!"
This felt mask is adjustable with an elastic allowing it to expand and grow with your little puffling. The felt is soft on the skin.

Sizing details
My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
Care instructions
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Custom and personalized orders
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
How does the tail attach?
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
Will the crowns fit my childs head?
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!
