Harper the Duck Felt Mask
Harper is an odd duck. She likes it that way. She is like other ducks in that her feathers are waterproof via a self oiling system. She has no need to stop by the garage for an oil change, she can do it all by herself. Harper has lived in many places in her lifetime. She prefers ponds and lakes but will happily vacation in a stream, river or whatever wetlands are available. See, she likes to migrate with her fellow ducks, you may have seen her? V-formation? Flying in the direction of warmth? Shee does it every year and uses the landscape as a guide. Harper knows where all the hidden gem swimming holes are.
Harper is the wife to Mallory our mallard duck here at Hunting Faeries. Harper is not so vibrant as her partners. Her plumage is dull brown and not at all remarkable. However she is perfectly camouflaged to take care of their brood of 6 ducklings. Yep. Harper is a proud mother and loves her little line of babes. They nest in hollow trees near the water and can swim and feed themselves after only a few days. They love to take strolls in the park and show off just what a beautiful family they are, single file at rush hour. Because everyone has to see this spectacular parade of nature.
This felt mask is adjustable with an elastic allowing It to expand and grow with your little duck. The felt is soft on the skin. Your little odd duck will want to swim in all the watering holes you pass, just keep his head above water as they also like to eat the bugs swimming there too! We can look like one and act like one lets just not eat like one. Okay?
This mask will provide hours of fun and entertainment while encouraging you little one to use their imagination at the same time.

Sizing details
My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
Care instructions
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.

Custom and personalized orders
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
How does the tail attach?
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
Will the crowns fit my childs head?
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!

The mask was cute and comfortable. I had questions and she was responsive, communicative and so sweet. I used it as the character Bright Bill from Wild Robot and my students loved it!
