Spring the Robin Felt Mask for Pretend Play or Costume
Spring is finally here! And she is just lovely with her cheery song. You may have noticed her around, she's been digging in your backyard looking for worms for weeks now. Robins are the first signs of spring, but Spring thinks that everyone was just waiting for her. She considers herself a symbol of good fortune. She's not wrong. Think about it...Spring arrives at spring time and poof!! just like that my heating bill disappears. That's good fortune for sure!
Some people think that like her cousin Clarissa the cardinal, she is a spiritual sign from a lost friend or relative. Spring symbolizes new life and new beginnings. Both the bird and the season. If you ask her she may relay a message, she reads palms for a dollar or two and will tell you exactly what you want to hear. She's a bit of a stinker that way. Don't believe all the sweet nothings she sings into your ear.
No worries tho...she has a gentle and kind side to her as well. She's always there to help, a mean tweet has never left her beak and she will sing you awake in the morning. Her bright colored red breast can't be mistaken. We always get excited when we see the first sightings of Spring! She makes us feel better and we appreciate life a little bit more when she is around.
This felt mask is adjustable with a elastic at the back so it will grow with your own sweet Spring. The felt is soft on the skin. This mask will provide hours of fun and entertainment while encouraging you little one to use their imagination at the same time.

My masks fit children and adults alike. I use a base pattern with a set eye size and spacing. The elastic at the back is approximately 12 inches long for all masks. This is for a fit on different faces, it may be big on a smaller tike or tighter on an adult head. Therefor I consider it one size fits most. The outline of the piece does vary slightly depending on the animal. For instance the fox has whiskers so it's a bit wider than the chicken because it's shape is more rounded. Please refer to photos, no photos available? Send me a convo and I'm happy to help. My pieces are designed for fun and function. Most masks have 2-4 layers of fabric. There are times when all those layers won't work with a design and a single layer will be used.
I use Eco-fi felt that is a material made from recycled plastics. It's surprisingly soft and cleans up well with some mild soap and water.
Because I am a one woman working machine I only consider smaller wholesale orders here. Contact me for more information.
I rarely take on custom orders because it is not cost effective for me. I cut and sew in bulk for my pieces. However if you would like something like a larger elastic or a ribbon instead of the elastic I use than I am happy to accommodate for this type of change.
Each tail has a tab that fits around a pant loop. A belt or sash is then threaded through the normal loops of the pants and it secures the tail into place. Its a two part system for security and allows for fun movement.
All of the crown headpieces can be customized to fit your child's head...just put your child's head measurement in the notes section of your order (in inches please!) and I'll make sure its a nice custom fit! For accurate measuring use a tape measure or a string (compare against a ruler when you are done) going around the crown of your child's head where a baseball hat would lay. Viola!
